Unified Trust Appoints New CIO

 

Michael Weiner, a former bank vice president, was named chief investment officer of Unified Trust Company N.A.

 

Weiner, who was most recently vice president of special projects for Huntington Bank, will be responsible for establishing and implementing investment policy, including research, policy development, asset allocation, mutual fund and separate account manager selection. This position leads the trust investment committee for both the wealth management and the retirement plan consulting group business lines.

Weiner joins Unified Trust with more than 29 years of experience in investment management and is an accredited CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst). His previous experience includes managing director positions at DuPont Pension Fund Investments and Banc One/JP Morgan. At BNY Mellon, he was the first vice president and director of equity investments in private wealth.

Weiner holds a bachelor’s degree from Duquesne University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
