The Hartford Offers Web Resource for Sales Assistants

The Hartford has launched the Sales Assistant's Corner, an online resource to meet the professional needs of sales assistants.

The Hartford said in a release that the site (www.hartfordinvestor.com) went live January 7 to more than 30,000 sales assistants and offers free access to client management resources and information on trends.

The Hartford’s research in 2008 showed that 75% of surveyed sales assistants nationwide would value the opportunity to interact with other sales assistants through a common community, yet more than half had little or no opportunity to network with peers (see “Advisers Should Leverage Sales Assistants). The Hartford said its new tool will help them connect.

According to the release, the site features interactive and multimedia material and includes tools for sales assistants to:

  • link to forms, order materials, broker books of business, and annuity sales illustrations;
  • obtain talking points and messages to help guide clients through the financial crisis;
  • get tips on office efficiency and client management.

The Sales Assistant’s Corner is the latest in a suite of resources The Hartford offers to assist the professional development of sales assistants, the company said. In 2007, The Hartford launched the Assistant’s Advantage e-Newsletter and began hosting educational forums for assistants in regions nationwide.
