The Stable Value Investment Association (SVIA) has released a glossary for stable value investment options.

The glossary is intended to increase the understanding of the asset class by retirement plan participants, plan sponsors, consultants and policymakers.

According to SVIA, stable value is currently offered in more than 190,000 retirement plans and includes more than $701 billion, representing 14% of all defined contribution plan assets at the end of 2012.
