PLANADVISER Practice Benchmarking Survey

In October 2019, PLANADVISER solicited responses to a 38-question survey pertaining to the size and scope of advisers’ qualified plan business, practice management, compensation and client services. The survey was part of a larger effort to understand adviser attitudes and preferences, which also included assessments of investment managers, mutual funds and defined contribution plan providers (published separately in our September/October issue). At the close of the survey, PLANADVISER received responses from 151 teams/practices currently advising more than 35,000 plans and representing $1.24T in retirement assets.
