Micro Plan Survey

Full survey results and methodology are available in the November 2013 issue of PLANSPONSOR magazine and on www .plansponsor.com. A total of 5,306 usable responses were received from last June through September. Of these, 479 were from plans with less than $1 million in plan assets and 1,214 from plans with $1 million to $5 million in plan assets. To qualify for a listing, providers needed a minimum of 35 total responses; to be rated in an asset category, a provider needed at least 15 responses from clients reporting defined contribution (DC) plan assets within the defined range. Best in Class awards were given to: 1) the three highest-scoring providers in each attribute, and 2) those scoring above a “benchmark score” of 93%. Providers needed to win at least one Best in Class award to be listed in the Best in Class tables.
