STOXX Licenses Benchmarks for ETF Use
STOXX Ltd., has licensed the Dow Jones STOXX 600 Basic Resources, Dow Jones STOXX 600 Oil&Gas, and Dow Jones STOXX 600 Utilities indexes to ETF Securities Ltd. to underlie three exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

The indexes are part of the 18 Dow Jones STOXX 600 Supersector indexes, which use the ICB-Industry Classification Benchmark to categorize companies according to their primary source of revenue.
Launched on June 15, 1998, the Dow Jones STOXX 600 Supersector Indexes aim to represent the largest European companies in each of the ICB Supersectors and currently cover Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
The ETFs were listed Tuesday at the Irish Stock Exchange. More information is available at www.stoxx.com.
