SEI Seeks Greater Workflow Automation Through Advizr Partnership

SEI announced the expansion of its SEI BusinessWise Program, with the goal of enabling advisers to more efficiently build and deliver actionable financial plans to their clients.

According to the firm, the driver of this expansion is a new integration with Advizr, which provides financial planning technology to support automated workflows. Raef Lee, managing director and head of new services and strategic partnerships at Independent Adviser Solutions by SEI, says Advizr’s “flexible, focused modular planning technology” will help SEI advisers deliver “a completely holistic approach.”

SEI says Advizr’s modular workflows, user interface and technology tools will empower advisers with planning capability that continuously connects them and their clients, remotely or in person. SEI advisers will also gain access to personalized training and integrated software to efficiently deliver high-quality plans.

In announcing this partnership, SEI cites recent survey data showing only 41% of advisers today view “financial planning” as their core value proposition. When it comes to executing the financial planning process, 26% said finding the right technology to effectively collaborate with their clients is most difficult, according to SEI.

“This self-directed technology is key for helping advisers create effective advisor- and consumer-driven planning,” Lee says.

This announcement comes a month after SEI Advisor Network’s rebranding to become “Independent Advisor Solutions by SEI.”
