Organizations Team Up to Encourage More Female Advisers
The goal is to motivate more women to become financial advisers through business network referrals.
The Ladenburg Institute of Women & Finance has entered into a partnership with The W Source, a nationwide networking organization for female professionals. The goal is to motivate more women to become financial advisers through business network referrals.
Founded in 2012, the Ladenburg Institute of Women & Finance has worked with Ladenburg Financial Services Inc.’s advisory and brokerage firms: Securities America, Triad Advisors, Securities Services Network, Investacorp and KMS Financial Services. The Institute has done so by offering practice management and coaching programs, multigenerational business growth support, an annual educational symposium and mentoring opportunities for younger women as well as those looking for a career change.
The W Source was launched last September to establish networking groups of between 20 and 25 women in local areas. The organization supports these local chapters with tools, resources, marketing support and dedicated sales coaches. Members include financial advisers, certified public accountants (CPAs), attorneys and risk management specialists.
“We are very excited to work with The W Source to build on our momentum in helping women advisers capture opportunities for growth, build lasting businesses and bring more female professionals into this industry,” says Jaime Desmond, chief operating officer of Ladenburg Thalmann Asset Management.
