Orlando Beckons
For those of you who joined us at PLANSPONSOR’s third annual Plan Designs conference, we thank you and hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. For those who did not—you missed some great panelists and information. However, we have another conference on the horizon. We are well into the planning stages for the 2008 PLANADVISER National Conference, to be held September 15 through 17 in Orlando, Florida, at the Ritz Carlton Grande Lakes. Are you going to be there?
We anticipate having more than 400 senior retirement plan advisers and providers in attendance at our second annual conference. We have multiple guest speakers, including senior management from wirehouses and independent broker/dealers to predict the future of our industry.
To accommodate our growth in attendance from last year’s conference, we are adding a third track of workshops during much of the second day, giving attendees more than two dozen sessions from which they can choose to attend. This year’s agenda incorporates the most significant trends and challenges facing plan advisers today—and does so with a specific focus on how to help you take your current practice to the next level. The sessions cover all aspects of a retirement plan adviser’s business including regulatory activity, practice management, investments, client service, and plan design.
Survey Says
We recently sent out electronic surveys to our adviser audience asking about everything from how you manage your practices to which defined contribution recordkeepers and investment managers you prefer working with. We will be releasing the results in various upcoming issues of the magazine and we will be presenting some results during a special Benchmarking Your Practice session at the PLANADVISER National Conference.
If you have any questions about the conference, or would like to register, please visit the PLANADVISER National Conference Web site at www.planadviser.com/panc08.
If anything on the posted agenda on that Web site strikes your fancy, and you would like to be considered for a speaking role at the conference, let Alison Cooke know at acooke@planadviser.com. Lastly, any logistical concerns or questions can be directed to Carol Popkins at cpopkins@plansponsor.com. We look forward to seeing you in Orlando next month.
With attendees last year commenting that the conference was a “must attend’ and “one of the most important conferences I’ve ever attended,” can you, your practice, and clients afford for you not to be there?
