In 2007, about 60% of new fund sales through intermediaries occurred without front-end sales loads. Among A shares that sold with a point-of-sale commission, the trend is away from commissions higher than 4%; those carrying loads of more than 4% represented a small percentage (6%) of intermediary-distributed funds last year.
