Target-Date vs. Target-Risk Funds
Nearly seven in 10 retirement plans (69.8%) have a
target-date fund as opposed to a target-risk fund (39.5%), the 2014 PLANSPONSOR
Defined Contribution Survey found.
88% Seeking Guidance
A substantial majority of employees (88%) “strongly favor”
or “somewhat favor” employers that provide tools to help them determine if they
are saving the correct amount for a financially secure retirement, according to
a report from Northern Trust.
Off Their Game
More than one-third (37%) of plan sponsors are unaware that
they are fiduciaries, up from 30% in 2011.

Debt Concerns Easing
Only 13% of workers and 9% of retirees say that debt is a
major problem, down from 20% of workers and 16% of retirees who said so in
2014.
