Wagner Law Names Welfare Benefits Head
Watson will be responsible for issues with the Affordable Care Act, and other health and welfare plan concerns. Watson has deep experience in the Employee Retirement Income Savings Act (ERISA). Her practice areas include employee benefits and compensation; health benefit plans, including COBRA, HIPAA and the Affordable Care Act; ERISA fiduciary decision-making; employee stock ownership plans, employee benefits aspects of family law; benefits litigation backup; and other employee benefits and deferred compensation.
Watson is AV Preeminent Peer Review Rated by Martindale Hubbell. The Best Lawyers in America has recognized Watson on their list of Employee Benefit/ERISA law attorneys since 1995, and for 2012, it named her the Tampa Lawyer of the Year for Employee Benefits (ERISA) Law.
Watson holds a bachelor’s degree in political science, awarded cum laude, from the University of Idaho, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She holds a law degree from Harvard Law School.
