We Inspire. Promote. Network., the nonprofit organization advancing the professional development of women in the retirement plan industry, is set to mark its 15th anniversary Tuesday with a special NASDAQ Closing Bell ceremony in New York.

Founded in 2008 and formalized in 2009 by a group of senior-level women in the retirement industry, WIPN has grown from an informal network into an established 501(c)(6) nonprofit with over 1,500 members and 5,500 subscribers nationwide, including a national virtual chapter.

Over the past 15 years, WIPN has been supporting women’s careers in the traditionally male-dominated field of retirement, according to an announcement Tuesday. Through its work, the organization has provided networking, mentorship, professional development opportunities, and advocacy for gender equity across all levels of the industry. This year, it started a new sponsorship program in which women in the retirement space are paired with male colleagues who commit to helping them advance their careers through actionable steps.

The 15th-anniversary celebration will begin with the ringing of the NASDAQ Closing Bell on October 15. Following this, a series of “crystal anniversary” events will be held in major cities including Boston, Chicago, Denver, New York and Washington D.C. on October 17. Simultaneously, regional chapters across the country will host “watch parties.”.

“We are thrilled to celebrate 15 years of WIPN by ringing the NASDAQ Closing Bell today and at events around the country on October 17,” Rosalyn Brown, WIPN President, said in a statement. “This milestone is a testament to the collective power of women in the retirement industry and the impact we’ve made together, helping women connect with and learn from one another, smoothing the path to leadership in the corporate world.”
