PIMCO Plucks Page from State Street

PIMCO has hired Sebastien Page as an executive vice president and head of the Client Analytics Group.

According to an announcement, Page, who was most recently a senior managing director and head of the Portfolio and Risk Management Group at State Street Associates, will “enhance further the development of models and research related to client problems and solutions including asset allocation, risk factor budgeting, dynamic strategies, as well as product development and channel-specific issues.” He is based in the firm’s Newport Beach office.

Page has more than 10 years of investment experience, including his last position at State Street Associates, where he managed the firm’s asset allocation advisory and currency management activities. He joined State Street in 2000 as a research associate, and subsequently held a number of roles with increasing responsibility, according to the announcement.

SSgA Announces Head of Index Equity

State Street Global Advisors (SSgA), the investment management business of State Street Corporation, announced that Lynn Blake will assume the role of global head of Index Equity following the retirement of Paul Brakke, senior managing director and head of the Global Structured Products Group.

Blake will report to Rick Lacaille, global chief investment officer for SSgA. Brakke plans to retire on December 31. 

According to an announcement, Blake joined SSgA in 1987 and has held several senior positions within the organization, most recently head of non-U.S. markets in the Global Structured Products Group. She has also served as a portfolio manager for several non-US index equity portfolios.

Blake is a member of SSgA’s Senior Management Group and Fiduciary Review Committee.
