NFP Acquires Trinity Consulting

The acquisition of Trinity Consulting by NFP expands the firm’s employee benefit offerings in the Southeast United States.

Trinity Consulting is a risk management and regional employee benefits firm based in Charlotte, North Carolina, providing benefits consulting and brokerage services to corporate clients. NFP says it plans to use Trinity’s full suite of employee benefit solutions to bring greater scale and efficiency to its benefits operations.

As a provider of employee benefits, insurance and wealth management solutions, NFP’s registered investment adviser (RIA) and broker/dealer (B/D) work closely with a large network of independent financial advisers, who will soon be able to leverage Trinity capabilities.

“All of us at Trinity are eager to be part of NFP,” says Alan Wise, Trinity president and CEO, who becomes managing director for the NFP Southeast region as part of the acquisition. “We’re pleased to provide the types of services only available through a national firm, while keeping the personal, relationship-driven model we have locally.”

Wise is joined in his new role by Harry Floyd, Trinity’s chief operating officer. They will work closely with Terrence Scali, executive vice president and CEO, NFP Property & Casualty, to enact the acquisition.
