MSCI Appoints Head of Risk & Analytical Research
MSCI Inc., a provider of investment decision support tools,
hired Kurt Winkelmann as Managing Director and
Head of Risk & Analytical Research.

Based in New York, Winkelmann will be responsible for setting the firm’s research agenda and overseeing the efforts of a global team of over 60 researchers across the firm.
Prior to joining MSCI, Winkelmann was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs Asset Management where he established and led the Global Investment Strategies team, responsible for strategic asset allocation, asset/liability analysis and risk advisory across asset classes for the firm’s major global institutional clients. Between 1993 and 1999, he managed the Global Fixed Income Portfolio Strategy Group at Goldman Sachs International.
