Morgan Stanley Smith Barney Appoints New Head of Private Wealth Management
The Private Wealth Management group serves the ultra-high net worth client segment through a nationwide network of 300 private wealth advisers. Ketterer will report to Andy Saperstein, Head of Wealth Management in the U.S. According to the announcement, Ketterer joined Morgan Stanley in 1990 in the corporate finance area, and most recently served as Chief Operating Officer of Wealth Management, U.S. He has worked on the origination side of Investment Banking, as well as in product development and strategic planning for Morgan Stanley Investment Management. Before the formation of the Morgan Stanley Smith Barney joint venture, he also led the Products Group for Global Wealth Management.
Ketterer received an M.B.A. from New York University’s Stern School of Business, and a B.S. in finance from the University of Albany.
