LPL Names EVP of Retirement Platform Development

David Reich has been appointed executive vice president of retirement platform development for LPL Financial.  

Reich has been tasked with creating new tools for LPL Financial advisers, and then integrating these tools within technology platforms used by advisers – with the objective of helping them run an efficient retirement plan business. The position was formerly known as EVP of retirement strategy, which was held by Bob Francis until he left the company in January.

To reach these objectives, Reich will collaborate with other senior LPL Financial leaders, including Bill Chetney, executive vice president of LPL Financial Retirement Partners, who is responsible for the firm’s strategic direction in the retirement plan space. Reich and Chetney will report to Derek Bruton, managing director and national sales manager, Independent Advisor Services.

Reich joins LPL Financial from Ameriprise Financial, where he was vice president and general manager, retirement strategies and solutions.In this position, he was responsible for strategic development and marketing of all retirement products and platforms to financial advisers. Prior to that, he served in a number of senior leadership roles across Ameriprise and American Express, its former parent company.
