Lowe Gets SSgA Global Equities Post

State Street Global Advisors (SSgA) has tapped Alistair "Ali" Lowe as global equities chief investment officer.

The company said Lowe assumes his new role from Arlene Rockefeller, who is retiring from SSgA after almost 30 years with the firm.

In his new position, Lowe will direct SSgA’s active and enhanced equity teams globally in the development and management of quantitative active and enhanced equity strategies. Lowe, who previously served as the CIO for Multi Asset Class Solutions, will report to Rick Lacaille, global chief investment officer.  Dan Farley has been named global head of investments for Multi Asset Class Solutions, replacing Lowe, the company said.
