Janus Enhances Web Site for FAs

Janus Capital Group Inc. said it launched the newly designed janus.com/advisor, targeted specifically for financial intermediaries.

The site launch coincides with the merger of the Janus Adviser Series and the Janus Investment Fund trust, according to a news release (see “Janus to Merge Two Mutual Fund Trusts).

Janus said, building on feedback from financial advisers, the new site offers advisers tools such as Janus Labs, which offers business-building programs in practice management, life science, and financial engineering.

ING Launches Roundtable for Mid-Market Advisers, Consultants

In an effort to grow in the mid-market space, ING's U.S. Retirement Services operations launched a series of educational roundtable discussions for mid-market retirement plan consultants and registered investment advisers (RIAs), the company said.

The roundtables are focused on the mid-market retirement plan space (employers with $20 million to $150 million in retirement plan assets). The first event was held June 9 in Washington, D.C. Similar regional meetings are scheduled to take place over the next few months, according to a news release. Discussion topics include: investment monitoring and oversight; industry trends on automatic plan features and target-date funds; and the opportunity for sponsors to graduate into more flexible products as they grow, taking advantage of important features and benefits associated with larger plans.

ING will also be hosting a larger, mid-market summit on September 9 and 10.

In conjunction with the roundtables, ING has been marketing its re-branded Framewor(k) product, a retirement plan solution that can be customized for mid-market employers, offering open architecture and full fee disclosure, according to the company. ING acquired the product in 2008 when it purchased CitiStreet (“CitiStreet Sold to ING for $900 Million’).
