FTI Consulting Names Unit Leader
Rosen, who has 40 years of experience in the pension industry, is a managing director in the firm’s forensic and litigation consulting segment and is based in New York. His focus has been helping clients in the private, public and nonprofit sectors define and meet retirement and employee benefits plan objectives.
Rosen has served as a consultant to pension plan sponsors and their advisers, as well as law firms, accounting firms, actuarial firms and insurance companies.
Rosen holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Rutgers University. He has completed course work in business administration at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and in actuarial science at the University of Iowa.
Rosen has held a number of positions with the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA) including president, treasurer and board director. Currently, he sits on the executive committee as secretary of the American Academy of Actuaries. He is a member of the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries, an enrolled actuary, a member of the American Academy of Actuaries, a Certified Pension Consultant and a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries.
Rosen has lectured and published several articles on pension-related issues. In addition, he has been involved as editor, author or co-author of “Accountant’s Guide to Employee Benefit Plans” (co-author), Warren Gorham & Lamont; “The Tax Reform Act of 1984” (co-author), Farnsworth Publishing Co.; “Taxation for Accountants,” “The 401(k) Handbook” and FOCUS articles, and served on the editorial board of the Journal of Financial Services Professionals.
