Firms Offer Values-based SMAs

Parametric Portfolio Associates and IW Financial have teamed up to design customized tax-managed separate accounts strategies for advisers and institutions seeking to incorporate socially responsible, faith-based, terror-free, and other values-based criteria in their investment portfolios.

Through the partnership, IW Financial does not deliver investment solutions but rather collaborates with advisers and Parametric to incorporate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors into tax-managed index based investment strategies, the announcement said. Any institution which offers Parametric’s investment advisory services will now have access to IW Financials research and consulting services.

“The ability to further customize index-based portfolios is extremely attractive to our advisers,” said Kurt Galley, Vice President – National Accounts at Parametric, in the announcement. “Teaming with IW Financial allows us to build highly efficient investment strategies that reflect the values and beliefs of faith-based clients. Based on our initial conversations with financial advisors there is significant demand for these innovative customized tax-managed solutions.’
