Financial Engines Names President

Financial Engines promoted Larry Raffone to president.

Raffone continues to report to Financial Engines’ CEO Jeff Maggioncalda and will be responsible for managing the execution of quarterly operating plans. He will also remain closely aligned with the company’s Fortune 500 customers and recordkeeping partners.   

Since 2001, Raffone has served in the role of executive vice president of distribution and institutional services. Before joining Financial Engines, Raffone served as the executive vice president of Fidelity Investments institutional brokerage group, a division of Fidelity Investments. Raffone has more than 27 years of experience in senior sales and client management positions in financial services.

Raffone received an MBA from Babson College and a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Bryant University.

MassMutual Names Relationship Manager

Laura Cali has been hired as a relationship manager with MassMutual’s Retirement Services Division.

Cali will be based in Santa Clara, California, with the division’s growing third-party administrator (TPA) relationship management team.

Cali’s sphere is assisting advisers in the Western region with plan reviews, investment change processing, product and service education and other valuable support for TPA-serviced plans on MassMutual’s platform. Before joining MassMutual in October, Cali served nearly 12 years in retirement plan sales with AG Edwards and Sons, Inc., and most recently was a relationship manager with Morgan Stanley.

Cali holds a bachelor’s degree from San Jose State University, FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses, and a California Life and Health Insurance License. She reports to Craig Haase, assistant vice president of sales and client management with MassMutual Retirement Services.

“Laura brings more than 15 years of sales and service experience with qualified plans, and her expertise will help MassMutual further strengthen its relationships with retirement plan advisers and sponsors across the country,” Haase said.
