FIA Opens Boston Office

Fiduciary Investment Advisors opened a Boston office at 112 Water St.

Vincent Smith will be the first consultant based in the Boston office. Smith has more than a decade of experience providing investment advisory services to retirement plans. His focus is on providing services to defined contribution retirement plan clients in both the corporate and tax-exempt markets. Before joining FIA in July of 2011, Smith was a senior member of the consulting teams at Longfellow Advisors and Cammack LaRhette Consulting.

Smith has experience providing consulting services on the investment due diligence process and completing comprehensive market review and benchmarking projects. His clients include hospitals, higher education institutions and other corporate plan sponsors.

“We feel a presence in New England’s financial center makes sense to better service our existing clients in that area, as well as to have an office to help recruit talented advisers and analysts to FIA,” said Mark Wetzel, FIA president.

FRC Announces New Practice Leaders

Following the recent acquisition by Asset International, Financial Research Corporation (FRC) has a new focus on research priorities.

FRC, a division of Strategic Insight, announced Research Analyst Bridget Bearden now leads the firm’s Lifecycle Practice. Research Analyst Sonia Mata now leads FRC’s Alternatives Practice, Editor-in-Chief Lisa Campbell leads FRC’s Monitor, and Senior Vice President of Retirement and Sub-Advisory Kevin Ng leads FRC’s Sub-Advisory Practice.  

Research Analyst Paul Curley will continue to lead FRC’s 529 Practice.
