2018 PLANADVISER National Conference
Retirement plan advisers face many challenges in their business including those such as crafting the right differentiation message, dealing with fee compression and regulatory changes, and helping keep clients engaged with their plan. The PLANADVISER National Conference (PANC) is the premier networking and business strategy event for specialist retirement plan advisers! Annually, the top tier of retirement plan advisers from across the U.S., including the PLANADVISER Top 100 and the PLANSPONSOR Retirement Plan Advisers of the Year, gather in Orlando, Florida, for three days of discussion and debate about the cutting edge of the retirement plan industry, and how to confront the industry’s biggest challenges.
As an attendee, you’ll find a networking-friendly environment, inviting you to engage directly with skilled experts and leading advisers to help you differentiate your message, add value for your clients and cultivate sustainable growth in an evolving regulatory environment. Thanks to the comprehensive agenda, you’ll experience sessions focused on legislative and regulatory challenges; practice management and differentiation messaging; the newest platforms, tools and services for you and your clients; and the best practices currently being used to construct institutional investments.
Whether you’re looking for fresh perspectives, a new provider partner or even the next adviser teammate, PANC is the place to vault your practice to the next level.
Special this year will be the opportunity for advisers to earn their PLANSPONSOR Retirement Professional designation while at the conference!

Featured Conference Speakers
Jonathan Swan
You’ve seen him on TV. You’ve read his breaking news. You’ve come to trust his byline. But you’ve never heard him quite like this: unfiltered and uncompromising. An award-winning journalist with incomparable access to the halls of power, Jonathan Swan takes you behind the scenes in the Trump White House and on Capitol Hill. He introduces you to the people behind his headlines and explains what you might expect next from one of the least predictable administrations in recent memory. You’ll walk away with an insider’s view of Washington today and exclusive insight into how it will shape America tomorrow.
Morgan Housel
Risk, in investing textbooks, is taught as the stock market going up and down. In the real world, risk is far more complicated, harder to define and different for every investor. Risk in the real world is not being able to meet your financial goals, which is primarily caused by investors’ own biases and behaviors, particularly buying when the market is high and selling after a pullback. Morgan Housel shares five clear stories of how investors, business executives and everyday people misinterpreted risk to disastrous consequences, and how investors can identify and correct their own biases to make better investment decisions.
Women in Pension Networking Event
Pluck. Moxy. Determination in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds. “Grit” is a term we hear from sports announcers and cross fit instructors in reference to athletic achievements and physical feats that boggle the mind. However, compelling emerging exercise science points to the power of perception over physical ability. In other words, all those burpees do not mean anything unless your “head is right”.
Join the Women in Pensions Network on September 24, 2018 from 9 am to noon for a fantastic members-only event featuring Melissa Briggs-Phillips, Ph.D. As a clinical and consulting psychologist with almost two decades of experience leading teams on complex projects in addition to practicing clinically, Melissa Briggs-Phillips, Ph.D., asserts “it is clear there is a formula for certain individuals that provides them the ability to thrive in spite of their environment.” G.R.I.T. training represents a distillation of FOUR CORE FACTORS that she has researched, observed, trained, taught and practiced herself with great outcomes.
So many WiPN members raved about Dr. Melissa’s April webinar and asked for more that we’re delighted to have her join us for this more extensive session. If you are not a member, but would like to join us for the event all you need to do is text “WiPN” to 31996 to join or visit www.womeninpensionsnetwork.org!
