Jaime Benedetti
Certified Financial Planner Practitioner, Benedetti, Gucer & AssociatesJaime is a managing partner at Benedetti, Gucer & Associates, and heads their Qualified Retirement Plan Group. He is a former instructor of Employee Benefits and Retirement Planning at Emory University’s Certified Financial Planner™ Program in Atlanta. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Dayton and Georgia State University, and he holds the Certified Financial Planner™ and Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor designations. Benedetti, Gucer & Associates helps small to medium-sized businesses improve their Qualified Retirement Plan. They focus on plans in the $1 million to $10 million range. Plans of this size are often inefficiently designed and not regularly reviewed. As the company grows, more competitive plans and pricing models become available. This could mean better investment options, a higher level of service, and a more sophisticated plan design, all while lowering costs. To achieve this, BGA works directly with the owner, CFO or Head of Human Resources to design a Retirement Plan that best suits the needs of the company and its employees. By helping manage fiduciary risk, increase employee satisfaction, streamline investment selection and analysis, and identify cost efficiencies, the overall effectiveness of the Retirement Plan can be greatly improved. Jaime also works with doctors, dentists, and attorneys who need help designing more customized retirement solutions for the highly compensated members of their practice. Typically, physicians in successful medical practices have two primary concerns: reducing their income taxes, and protecting their assets from frivolous lawsuits. The right Qualified Retirement Plan can help do both. A native of Colombia, Jaime is fluent in Spanish and English. He was named one of Atlanta Magazine’s Five Star Wealth Managers from 2009-2012, and 2014-2017, and has appeared on CNN en Español to address viewers’ questions about the financial risks of starting a small business. He has served on the Board of Directors for Colombianitos, and is a member of the Financial Planning Association. Jaime has also served as a mentor and speaker for the National Hispanic Scholarship fund, and volunteers as a soccer coach at Oglethorpe University. He is happily married to his wife Christine, and they have two daughters, Cecilia and Camila.
