EPIC Advisors Names New Hires

Debora Monacelli was hired as a conversion project manager at EPIC Advisors Inc.

Monacelli is responsible for coordinating and facilitating retirement plans and conversions, including  on-boarding new clients. She will report to the firm’s senior manager of systems.

Monacelli is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University, brings to EPIC 10 years’ experience in both the retirement plan and banking services industries, most recently as a conversion/implementation coordinator for The OMNI Group.

Allison Mackenzie and Michael Hughson, Jr., have been hired as recordkeeping support administrators in EPIC’s recordkeeping systems administration department.

In their new roles, Mackenzie and Hughson are responsible for retirement plan payroll/contribution file processing, new loans and distributions processing, and new enrolling participant setups.

Mackenzie comes to EPIC from ESL Federal Credit Union, where she was a senior teller managing daily transaction processing. 

Hughson holds a bachelor’s of science degree from the State University of New York, Fredonia. 

 

ExpertPlan Acquires Suncoast Pension and Benefits Group

ExpertPlan Inc. announced it has completed the acquisition of Suncoast Pension and Benefits Group Inc., a retirement plan third-party administrator (TPA).

The Suncoast group will continue to focus on its core competency, which is providing third-party administration for medical and professional practices and small businesses. ExpertPlan will design and provide a fully branded, private-label retirement suite of products for Suncoast’s advisers, plan sponsors and participants.

“Acquiring a TPA business in Florida, in addition to the actuarial, legal and administrative services we provide in our New Jersey corporate office, enables ExpertPlan to provide consulting services to our adviser distribution network in the Southeast on a local level,” said George Sawn, executive vice president and chief operating officer, ExpertPlan Consulting Service.
