EBRI App Targets Retirement Savings
The
Ballpark E$timate iPhone application, provided in part by the Employee Benefit
Research Institute (EBRI), was developed to help with retirement saving.
Reported by PLANADVISER staff
Through the Choose to Save financial education program, the app is intended to simplify language and math for issues such as projected Social Security benefits and earnings assumptions on savings.
The app aims to illustrate the impact of savings concepts such as inflation, investment returns and the time value of money, as well as programs such as 401(k)s and Social Security.
A Spanish-language version and interactive and non-interactive versions are available.
Developed by Matrix Group International and the research team at EBRI, the app is available for download for iPhones and iPads via the Apple app store or by clicking here.
