Barclays ETFs Offer Exposure to Alternative Energy and China

Barclays Global Investors has unveiled four new iShares ETFs to offer exposure to alternative energy and broad exposure to China.

According to a release, the exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and corresponding expense ratios are:

  • iShares S&P Global Clean Energy Index Fund (ticker: ICLN), 0.48%;
  • iShares S&P Global Nuclear Energy Index Fund (ticker: NUCL), 0.48%;
  • iShares S&P Global Timber & Forestry Index Fund (ticker: WOOD), 0.48%;
  • iShares FTSE China (HK Listed) Index Fund (ticker: FCHI), 0.74%.

The iShares FTSE China (HK Listed) Index Fund currently holds approximately 90 large- and mid-cap companies (H shares or Red Chip), Barclays said.

Lundquist to Head RIA Channel of JPMorgan

JPMorgan Funds, the U.S. mutual fund business of JPMorgan Asset Management, announced the appointment of Steve Lundquist as head of the registered investment advisor (RIA) channel.

In his new role, Lundquist will be responsible for the business strategy of the institutional adviser group and for managing the sales and national accounts teams, according to a release. An employee of JPMorgan since 2001, Lundquist brings to the position a background in managed account, mutual fund, and alternative strategies, along with a management track record with the firm.

Prior to joining the firm, Lundquist worked with Fidelity Investments and Fortis Financial Group.
