PLANADVISER: Tell us about your role at your firm and how you contribute to its growth and progress.
Ikerd: As the head of our education and financial wellness team and the head of our wealth management division at HUB-CSi since February 2020, I have led initiatives that have significantly propelled our firm’s growth. I crafted a robust retirement education strategy for more than 20,000 participants, featuring virtual financial wellness workshops and webinars, and established a comprehensive online financial wellness library. Additionally, I oversee the enrollment for more than 275 retirement plans and serve as a plan co-adviser on several of these plans. My strategic efforts have also resulted in the addition of approximately $20 million in net new assets to our wealth management division. These accomplishments have not only enhanced our firm’s service offerings, but have also significantly improved client engagement and satisfaction.
PLANADVISER: Where do you hope to take your career in the retirement industry in coming years?
Ikerd: In the coming years, I aspire to become a plan adviser with a specialized focus on participant outcomes, placing helping people at the core of my mission. Leveraging my current knowledge and extensive interactions, I aim to gain deeper insights into supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds in the plans I serve. My goal is to enhance participant experiences and outcomes by providing tailored advice and strategies that address their unique financial needs and goals. By prioritizing participant well-being and financial success, I am dedicated to improving financial wellness and retirement readiness for all. This direction aligns with my commitment to making a positive impact on people’s lives, ultimately driving greater satisfaction and success within our retirement plans.

Ikerd: I am most proud of leading my team of education consultants and advisers who put helping individuals at the core of everything they do. I strive to be a leader who fosters a culture of dedication and excellence, driving our mission to support participant outcomes. This focus has strengthened our firm’s offerings and positively impacted the financial wellness and retirement readiness of countless individuals. Witnessing the tangible difference our work makes in people’s lives is incredibly rewarding and fuels my continued commitment to leading with purpose and passion.
