AGF Appoints Head of Institutional Business

AGF Investments Inc. (AGF) selected Chris Boyle to be Senior Vice-President (SVP) of the firm’s institutional business.

Boyle will be responsible for expanding and managing the firm’s institutional business, which now represents almost half of AGF’s $52 billion in assets under management. He will continue to develop AGF’s institutional strategy and lead the institutional team focusing on expanding the business in the United States, Europe, Asia, and Canada.    

Boyle most recently served as SVP at one of Canada’s largest investment management firms, where he oversaw the organization’s institutional sales and marketing division.Prior to that, he was a Vice-President at the Canadian operations of U.S.-based Fidelity Investments, responsible for alternative distribution through Canadian banks.He began his career at TD Bank Financial Group and subsequently became lead relationship manager for a portfolio of financial institution clients before moving into the investment management sector.

Boyle is a business graduate of the University of New Brunswick, where he continues to serve as a member of the investment committee for the educational institution’s Endowment Trust.
