Thornburg Announces Agreement to Waive Fees for R Class Shares

Thornburg Investment Management has agreed to waive fees and reimburse expenses for the Thornburg Funds’ R class shares.

The fees will be waived in accordance with the September 12, 2007 supplement to the Funds’ Retirement Class Shares Prospectus, the fund company said.

In an announcement, Thornburg said that on July 1, 2007, Thornburg Investment Trust’s R share class line-up became its exclusive offering for most qualified retirement plan business. Thornburg noted that, due to the technological constraints of several of its retirement platform partners, many advisers are only seeing the gross (“unsubsidized’) expense ratio for its R share classes versus the net (“subsidized’) expense ratio as dictated by Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) (formerly NASD) rules.
