Mesirow Financial Hires Sales Distribution VP

In his new role at Mesirow Financial, Matt Ferullo will be responsible for collaborating with partners on strategic initiatives, business development, sales and marketing.

Ferullo will be 100% focused on working with Mesirow Financial Investment Strategies’ retirement platform provider partners to grow its 3(21) and 3(38) fiduciary partnership service as well as its custom target-date and target-risk portfolios. A 14-year veteran of the financial services industry, Ferullo is experienced in retirement planning, fee-based adviser platforms, insurance solutions and alternative investments.

He comes to Mesirow from TS Capital, where he was a wholesaler in the Midwest handling mutual funds, exchange-traded funds and closed-end funds. Before that, he held executive and sales positions with The Hartford, Credit Suisse and The Blue Capital Group. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Michigan and holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.

HighTower Adds Two Retirement Industry Experts

HighTower, the Baltimore-based financial services firm delivering differentiated solutions to corporate plan sponsors, announced the addition of Charlie Vieth and Steve Zients to its team.

The two retirement industry veterans bring over 50 years of combined experience to Fiduciary Plan Advisors at HighTower (HTFPA). Vieth and Zients join the firm as managing directors.

They previously held senior leadership roles at T. Rowe Price, helping to grow the company’s retirement plan business. Working with the retirement plan services division, Vieth served as president and director for 15 years, and Zients served as senior vice president and director for 23 years. Prior to joining HTFPA, the two co-founded Act2, a retirement consulting practice based in Baltimore.
