Raymond James Names Investment Banking Co-Head

Raymond James announced Jim Bunn will become co-head of the firm’s investment banking practice starting January 1, 2014.

Bunn currently works as co-head of Raymond James’ technology services investment banking group. In his new role, Bunn will work alongside Dav Mosby, current head of investment banking, to supervise daily management and set long-term strategy.

Bunn joined Raymond James in 2009 as part of the company’s acquisition of Lane Berry, where he oversaw financial technology and technology services practices. Before that, Bunn was a member of the financial technology investment banking team at Salomon Smith Barney.

The new role brings Bunn to the firm’s corporate headquarters in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Also effective January 1, 2014, Jon Steele becomes co-head of Raymond James’ technology services group to serve alongside Joe Estes. Steele joined Raymond James in 2009 as part of the acquisition of Lane Berry, a firm he helped found in 2002.
