Buck Consultants Hires Managing Director of Knowledge Resources

Tamara M. (Tami) Simon joined Buck Consultants as managing director of knowledge resources.

Simon will oversee Buck’s national multi-practice legal analysis and publications, government relations, research, surveys, training and knowledge management.

“Tami’s appointment underscores Buck’s commitment to knowledge resources,” said Mike Roberts, Buck’s president and executive managing director. “With the significant increase of U.S. legislative and regulatory activity facing our industry, Tami and her team will continue to ensure our consultants are armed with the latest information to meet the needs of our clients.”

Before joining Buck, Simon served as principal with Mercer’s Washington resource group. She has also worked for the law firm of McDermott, Will & Emery and Hewitt Associates.

Simon has written articles for Benefits Law Journal, Employee Relations Law Journal and Employee Benefits Journal. She has also served as a faculty member for programs sponsored by the American Law Institute/American Bar Association (ALI/ABA), Health Enhancement Research Organization, International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists, Employee Benefits Institute of America and Worldwide Employee Benefits Network.

Simon earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign and a law degree, with distinction, from the University of Iowa College of Law. She is a member of the Illinois Bar.
