Nationwide Hires Regional Retirement Plan Sales Director

Richard Lundgren has been hired as regional director of bundled sales for private-sector retirement plans at Nationwide Financial.

Lundgren will be based in San Diego and will oversee sales activities for bundled plans in the Western division.  

Lundgren has more than 30 years of retirement plans experience. Before joining Nationwide, he served as a DCIO [defined contribution investment only] wholesaler for Van Kampen covering the West Coast, including California.

Lundgren earned his undergraduate degree in economics from Amherst College. He also has a Certified Investment Management Analyst certification from The University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business.

Great-West Adds to Orange County Sales Team

Glenn Cassidy was appointed regional sales director for the Orange County, California, market of Great-West Retirement Services.
Reported by

Cassidy will work with brokers, financial advisers, consultants, wirehouses and third-party administrators to offer Great-West 401(k) plans and services to businesses in Orange County. He reports to Ken Munro, Western Region vice president.   

Cassidy comes to Great-West from Nationwide Insurance, where he has been employed for most of his 20-plus year career. He spent the previous four years serving as regional vice president of retirement sales for Nationwide’s Orange County and Hawaii markets. From 2004 to 2007, he served as TPA relationship manager covering the western United States for Nationwide.

In 2000, Cassidy left the insurer to join E.A. Edberg Associates Inc. Before that, he served in a number of increasingly responsible roles for Nationwide from 1990 to 2000.   

He holds NASD Series 6 and 63 licenses.
