Wilmington Trust Expands Business Development Team

Stephen Johnson and Eric Mull will join Wilmington Trust as part of the company’s business development initiative.

In their newly created positions, Johnson and Mull will partner with Wilmington Trust’s existing network of financial advisers and third-party administrators to deliver trust solutions directly to a targeted segment of plan sponsors. They will report to Rob Barnett, vice president and senior client development officer for the Wilmington Trust Retirement and Institutional Services unit (WTRIS). Johnson and Mull bring retirement plan expertise and experience in the auto industry, and have more than 30 years of combined financial services sales and marketing management experience.  

Johnson, based in Baltimore, will provide sales and client support coverage to the eastern region. He comes to Wilmington from NADART, where he was director of business development and client service. Johnson previously served as institutional business development manager for Canada Life Assurance. He earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Maryland.

Mull is based in Denver, and will provide sales and client support to the western region. He also served at NADART, as senior retirement services consultant, and has specific expertise in retirement plan compliance and plan execution. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Bucknell University.
